The Well-Built Pie

It’s just starting to really sink in today - the BBC is doomed. Between now and the end, there is going to be a daily drip drip drip of fresh “scandal” and “outrage”, until finally the rock is worn away, the licensing funding scheme is dumped, and the slavering hordes of Murdoch come charging over the collapsing ramparts. There is now quite clearly a concerted agenda amongst many many people, to not rest until this end is achieved, and the assembled attackers are too powerful and wealthy for there to be any other outcome. It may take a while, but it’s coming.

So if, like me, you happen to think that the BBC is one of the most incredible things in the history of ever, make the most of the (increasingly watered-down) content while it lasts, because the future’s Sky-shaped, and full of adverts.

And steel yourself for tomorrows Sachs/Clarkson/Moyles/GollywogGate.
